Maia Mailguard and safe_mode = On

Description

When I change my php.ini (version 5) setting to safe_mode ON the Maia Mailguard login screen is blank. I would prefer safe_mode to be on for security reasons. Any help?

It probably has to do with permissions to write the template caches. PLease consult the mailing list for support unless you find a real bug.
