Spam not quarantined by Maia

Description

I installed Maia Mailguard on SuSE 9.3 Pro, running on top of Postfix, amavisd-new, SpamAssasin?, Razor, DCC, and ClamAV, according to the instructions provided here: <http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/16093.html>. However, I'm having an issue with spam. Although spam is flagged with a super-high > 1000 score, and my settings in Maia specify that spam > 5 should be quarantined, spam is not quarantined. Virus e-mail, with the same settings, is properly quarantined however, and I cannot find any noticeable error in my mail logs when a test-spam message is sent. Any ideas?

I found thats because it was necessary to add a # (ie comment out) the line in amavisd.conf that says $final_spam_destiny = D_PASS; all 4 $final_x_destiny are now commented out. i also ran script load_sa_rules.pl and it worked HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE:- following quote from Stephen Carter:- The final_*_destiny lines tell amavis what to do with e-mails that are triggered as spam, banned attachement, virus etc and should exist for amavis to work properly, but do not play a part in determining if an e-mail is spam, has a virus or is corrupt.

  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

As explained in the INSTALL instructions, the $final_x_destiny variable need to be set to DISCARD:

$final_virus_destiny      = D_DISCARD;
$final_banned_destiny     = D_DISCARD;
$final_spam_destiny       = D_DISCARD;
$final_bad_header_destiny = D_DISCARD;
