Getting close to 1.0.3

As you can see from the timeline, we are getting very close to having 1.0.3 ready. Right now, one of the major needs is to get translators together to review and catch up on some of the translation packs. I found a nifty tool to speed up the process, check out the writeup here

The source code is in the branches/1.0 area of the svn repository - I'd appreciate any testing and bug reports!

Recent Encryption Key Problems

A common problem in the mailing list recently has involved a tainted key for encryption. Something has changed again, it would seem, with the format of the encryption keys or the library that handles it.

However, unless you have a really pressing need, the encryption key is not really needed. We believe the encryption feature doesn't really provide any security benefit, and most often causes more problems than it prevents.

Please check the Mailing List archives for more discussion, and feel free to ask us if you have a situation where the encryption feature is truly required.
